The loan can be sanctioned up to two months before the expected delivery date. Minimum Monthly Salary
Her salary must be at least Rs. – 25000/- or more and salary should credited on PNB Bank account.
Loan Limit
A working woman can take this personal loan only up to 2 times under this scheme.
Note – A woman with a stable job, minimum ₹25,000 salary, and 2 years of work experience can apply for this loan, but she can use this facility only twice.
Mode of Repayment and other Terms
Loan Repayment Method
The loan amount (principal + interest) must be repaid through monthly EMIs (Equated Monthly Instalments).
Maximum Repayment Period
- The loan must be repaid within:
- The remaining service period of the employee, or
- A maximum of 72 months (6 years).
EMI Time Period
- The EMI payments will start from the next month after the loan is disbursed.
No Moratorium Period
- There is no moratorium period, which means the borrower cannot delay EMI payments and must start repayment immediately from the next month.
Note – The women applicant must repay the full loan in monthly instalments within 6 years or before retirement, whichever comes first.

Self-Declaration by the working women applicant
A working woman who wants to take the loan must give a written declaration stating that she is pregnant or has recently given birth.

The bank mainly relies on this self-declaration from the applicant, so the process becomes simple and faster.
Loan approval based on declaration
After receiving the declaration, the bank officer can approve the personal loan under the PNB Matritva Scheme.

This helps women get financial support quickly for maternity and childbirth expenses without complicated procedures.
Note – The applicant just needs to inform the bank in writing that she is pregnant or has had a baby, and the bank can process the loan based on that declaration.
